Following the grounding of the RO-RO ferry 'Riverdance' dangerously close to the Anchorsholme stormwater pipeline near Blackpool, Insight Marine were asked to conduct an internal remote visual inspection using an ROV equipped with imaging sonar.
Insight Marine were pleased to be a part of the installation of the GBA anchors for the Ocean Power Technologies' PowerBuoy project, (Santona, Spain). The device is designed to convert ocean wave energy into useable electrical power for utility-scale grid connected applications. The PowerBuoy can be deployed in arrays scalable to 100’s of megawatts.
