New Cable Burial Assessment Capability
Date: 11 Dec 2009
In partnership with Underwater Technical Services Ltd. a complete marine solution can now be offered for location of submarine cables and verification of burial depth where required.
Using the diver deployed Tinsley 5930 Submarine Cable Survey System and working in areas where it may not be practical to use an ROV the diver carries a sensor frame tuned to respond to a low frequency electroding tone applied to the cable from the shore-end, the system can be used to locate cables buried beneath the seabed and to accurately establish their burial depth.
